Melissa Colón
Site Coordinator at Ferguson Pre-K-8
Melissa N. Colón joined the CISPA team in September 2025 as the Site Coordinator at Ferguson Pre-K–8.
Melissa was born in the Bronx, New York, and her family moved to York, Pennsylvania, in the mid-1990s, where she began her education in the City of York School District before transferring and eventually graduating from Central York High School.
She has a Bachelor of Humanities degree in Communications with a minor in Writing from Pennsylvania State University. Melissa has worked with youth since 2015 in both social work and education. She has always had a passion for serving youth in her community through her career and philanthropic work, a passion she attributes to her late father, Harry "O" Colón, who posthumously received the Key to the City of York from Mayor Helfrich for his work and dedication to bettering the community.
Melissa is the mother of Isabella, a 9-year-old who loves K-pop, anime, music, dance, and cheerleading. Family is one of Melissa’s most cherished values, and she lives by the saying “Todo Para La Familia,” or “Everything for the Family.” Melissa is very excited to join the CISPA team in the School District of the City of York and is committed to making a difference in her role as she looks forward to serving the families of Ferguson Pre-K-8.
